I studied at the Royal Academy of Music, London and have been a professional trumpet players for most of my career. I was fortunate to work with many of the top orchestras in the UK, playing with some great musicians and performing much of the orchestral repertoire.
I’ve covered many diverse genres: contemporary, commercial, film, pop and folk music, and worked with many popular artists including Barbara Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Sir Paul McCartney. I spemnt many years as a studio artist recording the soundtracks to many blockbusters uncluding Batman, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Shrek and Pirates of the Caribbean.
I’ve also has some great students at variou music colleges including Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music and tried my hand at a full time position as Head of Wind, Brass and Percussion at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
I’ve recorded albums for trumpet and pinao and a range of concerti with various orchestras. In 2003 I was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music, London and received the International Trumpet Guild Honorary Award, and am now a trustee of a charity called Harmony: Action Through the Arts which brings benefit to young people who are socially and economically disadvantaged through activity in a range of musical projects.
